For a more even-looking complexion, without making retinol the centre of your routine. Brightalive is ZO’s targeted brightening formula for visible dark spots and uneven tone.
50 mL · Morning and evening · Lightweight brightening formula
Who it suits
A consideration when discolouration is your main concern. ZO describes Brightalive as a non-retinol, non-hydroquinone brightener for all skin types.
Inside the formula
- Tranexamic acid and niacinamide: help improve the appearance of uneven tone.
- Encapsulated peptides: part of ZO’s targeted brightening approach.
- Papain: provides enzymatic exfoliation.
- Beta glucan and a liquorice derivative: help soothe skin.
Your daily routine
Apply after cleansing, morning and evening, following your pack’s directions. Follow with sunscreen in the morning and a moisturiser if needed.
Pair it thoughtfully
Make daily SPF the foundation. A vitamin C antioxidant may complement your routine; choose one that suits your skin rather than layering several.
How is it different from Retinol Skin Brightener?
Brightalive uses a different brightening formula. Retinol Skin Brightener 0.5% contains retinol and needs a gradual introduction. ZO suggests Brightalive in the morning and retinol in the evening when both are appropriate.
Can I use it during pregnancy?
Ask your treating clinician to review your exact product and routine during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
