Your questions, answered.
How much does Dye-VL cost?
Our listed Dye-VL appointment is 45 minutes, from $500. Your initial 45-minute consultation with a FutureSkin dermal therapist is complimentary. We’ll confirm the treatment plan and total cost before you proceed.
Is Dye-VL a laser treatment?
Dye-VL uses narrowband intense pulsed light (IPL), rather than a pulsed dye laser. If you are looking into laser treatment for pigmentation or facial redness, we can explain the differences and discuss which approach may suit your skin.
Can Dye-VL help with my pigmentation or redness?
It may help improve the appearance of selected sun-related pigmentation, facial redness and small visible blood vessels. Not every brown spot or type of redness is suitable for IPL. Your consultation is the place to assess this before choosing treatment.
Is it suitable for every skin type?
No. Your skin tone, medical history and recent sun exposure all matter. IPL can carry greater risks for darker or recently tanned skin. We will assess suitability and discuss alternatives where appropriate.
What should I expect afterwards?
Temporary redness, swelling and darkening of treated pigment can occur. We will explain expected recovery, sun protection, aftercare and possible risks, including burns or pigment changes, before treatment. Recovery varies, so allow time when planning around an event.
How many appointments will I need?
That depends on the concern and how your skin responds. More than one session may be recommended. We will discuss realistic expectations and review your response before planning further treatment. Results vary.
